This class will push you to situate your own research in and about gender studies for social change, justice, and activism. The class will encourage you to see and experience yourself as a writer, reader, and designer working to make a difference in the time and place in which you live. This is your capstone course, your senior seminar where all that you have learned, done, and imagined in your undergraduate gender studies major comes to its grand finale. This is your time to shine. This class is a mixture of many things. As your teacher, I am styling this class to be part writing workshop, part graduate seminar, part listening session, part qualitative inquiry, and part lab experiment… and I will need YOU to style it to be alllll the way DOPE. Let’s show em what gender studies in the 21st century is really all about! |
