Happy National Coming Out Day!
I. Announcements
PART ONE: Congratulations on the work you have done this semester! We are about 1/2way done with reading responses now. After the next unit on masculinities, we move into and ePortfolio design. This means we are making a public turn in our writing. In preparation for that, please expect that your classmates will read YOUR writing for our next class! Here are guidelines:
PART THREE: Please put your preferred email address on the sheet that is passed around today.
PART FOUR: Short, online articles will be indicated on the syllabus. For those who are not thinking about/wanting grad school (law school, etc), those articles will be easier for you and help you manage the workload of the class better. You are NOT reading the QUANTITY of what is expected of you in grad school (300-500 pages per week per class), but you are at the same level of difficulty in this class. Look for articles with a STAR on Wednesday's reading for shorter, easier pieces.

- Make sure that you fully explain your text that you read... do not assume your readers are familiar with your ideas or your writer's ideas
- AT LEAST start the piece with a catchy opening... let your introduction really draw people in so as not to bore your readers
- Be personal and informative?
